Skydance Paramount Will Cut Nearly 2,000 American Positions – Update

Paramount Skydance will begin significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August worth $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are anticipated, as the firm planning to disclose all specifics during its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.

Previous updates suggested the company planned to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.

By December 2024, the company had about 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 contract workers.

The organization has not provided a response regarding the report.
